“My skin, smooth and expectant as a sealed envelope”
Odissa, Fermentation

A follow-up to Gargantua in terms of style, a return to the erotic as the production centered on Odissa, a pregnant woman who craves cheese during a swelteringly hot summer in a French city.

Abandoned by her fire-breathing lover Serge, she has dreams inspired by the cheeses, the heat, and her developing relationship with an elderly cheesemonger.

The production was performed in both vast and intimate spaces within the Briggait covered market in Glasgow and transferred to the Underbelly in Edinburgh. The production represented a further consolidation of the Grid Iron creative team and brought together several actors and musicians that Ben Harrison had worked with in other companies.
